How should a glass furnace choose refractory bricks?
In the production of glass melting furnace, kiln pool, these places cannot do without refractory materials. The shaping, annealing and cooling of glass are completed in structures made of refractory materials. Common refractory materials include silica brick, clay brick, high-alumina brick, magnesia brick, electric fused refractory material, lightweight refractory material and unshaped refractory material (refractory casting).
When selecting refractory materials for a glass melting furnace, several factors should be taken into account: sufficient mechanical strength to withstand mechanical loads at high temperatures, high refractoriness at the operating temperature, good chemical stability and resistance to the erosion of molten glass, no pollution or minimal pollution of the glass liquid, good resistance to thermal shock, small thermal expansion and shrinkage during firing, and no contact reaction between different types of refractory materials.
